I wouldn't let a kid get near one of these things. I am very astute at "killing" balloons, as you can see in the photos above. To see me in action, click here:

Thank you for visiting!
Hi and welcome to my blog! My name is Cooper. I am a purebread chocolate long haired miniature dachshund. Be sure to check back often to see what I've been up to....or into!
I was born on May 18, 2006 on Oakley Farm in King and Queen, Virginia. My breeder thought I would be a micro mini but, although I am quite trim, I turned out to be a mini. I'm about 10 lbs.
....for one, she litter trained me. That's right, I have a dog litter box, not to be mistaken for a cat litter box - but I do have kitty litter. While I still enjoy the occasional "watering of the grass" outside, having that box saves me from having to cross my legs waiting for my mom to get home when she has a busy day and from standing out in the blistering cold MI winters!
My Life
I hit the parent jackpot. It all started when my mom met my breeder in a taxi in front of our nation's Capitol to adopt me. I was 10 weeks old and only 2.5 lbs. We took the cab to the airport where we flew to Detroit. Most people love me and I love them. I am very affectionate. Although, I am also very protective - especially of my mom. Some people call me "mama's boy" but I'm not sure what that means. I don't think I'd ever bite but I sure like to bark if I think, whether it's warranted or not, someone might harm the people I love.
My Likes
I LOVE sleeping! I usually don't get up until my mom gets out of bed and makes me. Even then, I just go find another place to sleep. I sleep most of the day. I'm really only awake about 6 hours on weekdays! When I'm not sleeping, my favorite things to do are: play with my toys - especially the ones that make noise, go for walks with my mom, and chase birds and squirrels. But, probably my favorite thing to do is shred paper. Any kind, I'm not picky: toilet, tissue, wrapping, news, copy, etc.!
